I know, I know….you know that your customers are so important, but do you really know just how important they are? Do you give them the love and attention they deserve? News flash…..
WITHOUT YOUR CUSTOMERS, YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS
Really, I think too many of us take for granted this simple fact…without your customers you have no business.
So, what do you need to to do retain your customer? What is good customer service? I’m going to tell you!
Treat your customer the way you expect to be treated from any service provider. If you expect it, they expect it.
Let’s talk a moment about KINDNESS. What does it mean to you? I can tell you what it means to me! Gentle words, warmth, appreciation, and maybe even a hug! Really…a hug, I’m serious. When we connect with someone on an emotional level, a bond begins and that bond creates loyalty. CONSIDERATION is huge. Think of what they need, not what you need. Be courteous and aware of their body language and eye contact. Move out of the customers way so she can look at what you are selling, ask questions like “Can I help you with…” or “May I show you….” THANK YOU may just be even bigger than Consideration and Kindness. Guess what, if I don’t feel appreciated, if my time isn’t valued this girl won’t return. The art of saying thank you and meaning it is dying…revive it people! Remember your please and thank yous! FOLLOW UP needs a blog of it’s own…click here to read all about Following up! A SMILE breaks the ice, warms the heart, softens a situation and should always be genuine. Would you approach someone that looks angry, complacent or even grumpy…NO WAY! Not only is a smile good for your health, but it lightens up any situation and is welcoming. Finally….BE PATIENT!! Don’t shift from one foot to another, fiddle with your phone, send text messages…GET OFF SOCIAL MEDIA when you are speaking to someone. Give that person your attention; how do you feel when you don’t get 100% from someone helping you? Think about it…it’s a turn off, it turns you away right? Give to others what you expect!
ALWAYS TREAT OTHERS THE WAY YOU EXPECT TO BE TREATED!
