Does a Sponsoring Packet confuse you, scare you or even give you anxiety? STOP!!! It shouldn’t. This is one of the most exciting aspects of the direct sales industry…offering the opportunity to someone looking to earn an income or even meet new people.
Look at the Sponsoring Packet like this….it’s a GIFT!
You are giving the gift of your business to someone else. While you truly may never know their deeply personal desire to join, one thing is certain-you are providing the sponsor the opportunity of a lifetime.
What do you put in this packet, how does it look and how does it feel?
The packet needs to come from your heart, not a calculated business transaction and rigid professionalism. Put your heart into it, share what you love about the company and share all the possibilities. When we work our business from our HEART, our business thrives. Sponsoring, while indirectly is about earning an income, is really about helping someone else. In every situation, just remember…you are giving a gift!
First things first. Visit your local office supply store. Stores like Office Max, Staples or even Walmart and Target will likely have what you need. All you really need is a decent color printer and folders. I prefer the two pocket folders from Staples, the type that permit me to put my business card into the interior pocket slot and I like white. The company I lead a large team for is big on branding, as they should be. BRANDING is huge…not only for yourself, but for the company you work for.
On the front of the envelope, I affix a company sticker. Here is what I place inside the folder.
A copy of any current incentives you are personally doing for your team.
The next items will be company driven items such as:
Catalogs, both current and the prior year. If you have a catalog with consumable items or items that retire, set your sponsor up for success by providing her the tools to refer to, should a customer ask about prior products.
Any company incentives or trip opportunities.
The company career plan.
The company customer incentive program or hosting rewards sheet.
Any sort of document that explains ingredients or specific components of the items offered.
One or two games that can be played at a party. Here one example:
Next, I include this amazing list of More Than 129 WAYS TO GET BOOKINGS
Finally, I include a couple of documents that help the sponsor think outside the box, to all the possible party hostess, sponsoring opportunities and sales leads she already has.
I recommend aligning the amount of sponsoring packets your prepare monthly, in conjunction to your monthly goals. If your goal is one new representative monthly, have one packet ready to go. Always set your goal higher than what you feel you can achieve. Push yourself, you CAN do this!!!
Remember, if you need help with your business, I am available for hourly calls!
